Check your microphone before the real recordingDenoisr Voice Check

A focused Chrome extension that records a sample of up to 15 seconds and gives practical feedback on input level, clipping, silence, speech, and room noise. The check runs entirely on your device.

A microphone check designed around privacy

Denoisr Voice Check asks for microphone access only after you start a test. It does not upload the sample, create an account, run analytics, insert ads, inspect websites, or record in the background. Closing the popup discards the sample unless you chose to download it.

Local processing:
Audio measurements and recommendations are calculated inside the extension on your device.
User-controlled microphone:
Recording starts only after your click and Chrome permission approval, and stops after 15 seconds or when you finish early.
No browsing access:
The extension has no tab, history, content-script, or website host permissions.
Optional next step:
A separate Denoisr link opens the website only when you click it; uploading a recording there is optional.

Voice Check questions

Does Denoisr Voice Check upload my microphone audio?+

No. Recording and analysis happen locally inside the Chrome extension. The optional Denoisr website is opened only if you click its link.

How long does it record?+

A test lasts no more than 15 seconds, and you can finish or cancel it sooner.

Can I listen to the test sample?+

Yes. You can play or download the local sample before closing the popup.

Is this a professional acoustic measurement?+

No. It is a quick setup check using approximate browser audio measurements, not a calibrated sound-level meter.

Still hear noise in an existing recording?

Denoisr can remove background noise and improve spoken-word recordings after you choose to upload a file on the website.
